April Promos: 5 Ways to Make More Money in April

New month, new promos! Consider the March promotions just a warm up, because you’re gonna love these 5 ways to make more money in April! Between the weather warming up and festival season just around the corner, people are looking to do a little spring cleaning for their wardrobe and home. What better time to run some promos for your Artist Shop products?

The rules for the April promos are the same as the March ones: every week in April, we’ll be challenging you to promote a specific product each week. If you sell a product from your Artist Shop during the week we’re promoting it, you earn an extra dollar for every sale made!

Check out the schedule below to see which promotions are happening when:

Quick refresher: this month, when you sell a certain item during the week it’s being promoted, you’ll make an extra dollar on that sale! For example, during the week of April 9th, you’ll earn an extra $1 for every fine art print you sell. This also means that if you order products for yourself from your Shop, you save a dollar when you order the product being promoted that week! We recommend ordering items ahead of their promotion week so you have ample time to take some photos to promote those specific products on social media.

This is a great way to literally earn some extra bucks, so you’re going to want to encourage your customers to buy certain products during the week they’re being promoted! Here are some tips on how to do that:

WEEK 1: NOTEBOOKS & JOURNALS

(April 3rd 12:01AM – April 8th, Midnight CT)

There’s nothing cooler (or more meta) than rocking an art notebook with your art on the front. Appeal to the list-makers or travel journalers with lined journals, to students needing a new notebook with the spiral, and to your artsy customers with the blank journal. Tip: take lifestyle photos themed to your notebook type/design. For a notebook with a food pattern on it, suggest its ruled pages as the perfect place to write recipes. Or post a boomerang on Instagram where you open the cover of one of your hardcover journals and reveal a handwritten promo message inside!

WEEK 2: FINE ART PRINTS

(April 9th 12:01AM – April 15th, Midnight CT)

Part of spring cleaning is giving your space a refresh with some new decor. And what better way of doing that than by adding some new flair to your walls (especially when it’s pre-framed)? Tip: use art prints of all different sizes to put together a “How to Create a Gallery Wall” guide.

WEEK 3: TRAVEL MUGS

(April 16th 12:01AM – April 22nd, Midnight CT)

Perfect whether you need iced tea kept icy for a spring road trip or just to keep that hot caffeine boost warm for your commute to work. Tip: show off your taller designs on travel mugs, and appeal to the vacationing crowd that needs to take their refreshments on-the-go.

WEEK 4: T-SHIRTS

(April 23rd 12:01AM – April 29th, Midnight CT)

Everyone needs a cool graphic tee! This would be a great time to show off some of your different tee styles, showing customers not just your go-to cotton tee, but also triblends, unisex tees, v-necks, and scoopnecks. Tip: this would be a great time to put together a “X Ways to Style a Tee” style guide to share on social media with some lifestyle photos

WEEK 5: WEEKENDER + BEACH BAGS

(April 30th 12:01AM – May 6th, Midnight CT)

Every great weekend getaway starts with with a great weekender or beach bag to pack up your life in! And with the new rope-handle beach tote launching (coming soon, stay tuned!) it’ll be the perfect way to promote a brand new product right when people are getting ready for beach season. Tip: create a packing guide for the ultimate vacation or staycation, and take photos of your weekender and beach bags holding other products you sell – may we suggest beach towels?
